Good Evening All:
Let's talk Y&R!
This evening I am going to do my best to follow the episode as it happened because I have something special for you at the end. No, It's not a juicy secret! You will see when you get there.
Well I must say that so far, I am some what disappointed by Devon's reaction to everything he has found out. When Aunt Virginia told him that Tyra "was of no real blood relation", I was so ready for him to fly off the handle, charge right over to her, pull her aside and call her everything BUT a child of God. However I was disappointed to find that he gave it no more than a look and a shrug for now. Hopefully it was just a case of "not the time and place" and he will deal with it more directly than he has. More like the way he dealt with Neil when he found out about the affair. Agree?
Lauren Fenmore-Baldwin! Hats off to Lauren after all these years for being able to have on a dress that tight, look that classy in it AND not pass out from holding in her breath the whole evening (I would have suffered from the latter). However, Y&R went a bit too far with Michael's dedication to his family writing in that she would have had half of his attention if she were at the table. Come now, he is still a man. Are Gloria and Jeffrey still on the boat. Gotta give it to Jack-o for the livestock trip!
Does anyone think that Nina was up to something during the conversation about the movie? I noticed that she was the only one to say. "Add a few things", could that have been a subtle hint with regards to Phillip III and Cane? I have a partial theory that she is in on whatever the scam is. also no wonder Billy is such a brat, as the song says "He git it from his Mama!" I want Jill to get over herself. Had she not burned so many bridges along the way she might not be in the boat she is in now. I had to laugh when Murphy offered her the trailer. As my three yr old says, "that's what you get!" She started off as the manicurist for Kay correct? Perhaps she will get her old job back!
GOOD JOB CHLOE! For being woman enough to admit your mistakes, apologize for them, so that you can move on. Which I really hope you and Billy the "Miserable SOD" can do. As well.
Amber and Daniel. Old faithful, "Can we talk" discussion that ends in "if this is an ultimatum" now that was real life, no daytime drama about it. How do you feel about hearing any of those words? Do you think that conversation marked the beginning of the end for the two of them. Was Daniel a little cold? They FBI mentions Jana, because of Daniel or her father, hmmmm? Did Amber remind anyone of My Cousin Vinny, "My Biological clock is ticking ticking ticking"? I did feel bad for her. Always the Bridal gown designer, never the bride.
More to come shortly! As usual, I put enough in and left enough out for each of you to add your own ingredients. So get in the Mix!
Finally a great big Congratulations to Josh Ryan for an amazing song called, "Happy" that played during the montage at the end of today's episode (the Young and The Restless 5/19/2009). His songs have been featured in Twighlight, the Hills and others. If you enjoyed the song, please be sure to check out his CD. "Secrets in Stereo"
