The Young and The Restless 6/1/2009- Three Men and a Baby, Billy, Jack, Nick, Sharon and Phyllis

Hi All
So after a long awaited weekend, we finally know how Sharon reacted to Nick's decision to plant an infamous Nick Newman Lip Lock on her and tell her that he had decided to leave his current wife and child, to become the devoted man and possible father of the child she is carrying. I'm not a t all sure that Nick got the response that he was looking for. I know that several of us let out a sigh of relief that Sharon stuck to her guns and told Nick to stay where he was. Now the question is, did she mean it? Does anyone believe that Sharon actually loves Jack? That she will in fact be able to go through the motions of being a devoted wife knowing that Nick is willing to give up the life he currently has in order to be with her? I'm not sold on that one at all. If Sharon really wanted to end Nick's hopes of one day being with her, wouldn't a good place to have started been to tell him about the dream that she had about Cassie and her prediction? I would think that if that is what he is basing part of his decision on that she would have disspelled that myth right away. Am I alone in thinking this? Or how about mentioning that fact that the 3rd potential father is billy, Jack's brother?

Then there is the conversation between Nick and Phyllis. I love the way Phyllis instinctively knew what Nick was going to say and instead of pushing for an answer decided to leave the conversation where it was. I feel really bad for her right now, this whole situation is really tearing her apart. However at least she has a realistic view of what is going on underneath the surface of Sharon and Nicks promises to her and Jack. I also respect the fact that she is not intimidated to confront the truth.

To bad Nick doesn't respect the natural bond that he and Phyllis have together. The sad thing is Nick is so full of himself that I don't think he will ever respect Sharon's decision to choose Jack over him. He did not handle the news well and had this look of, "you really don't mean that", the whole time she was talking. He was arrogant as a child and sadly has never outgrown it. Which means in his mind he is thinking, "If I am available, Sharon won't be able to resist me." This might be the end of Phick ladies and gentlemen.

Jack on the other hand, is opting to follow his heart and belief in what ever relationship he and Sharon have. It's unfortunate that I don't think it is going to end up the way he would like it to. However Jack has a few paybacks coming to him. If ever there was a payback coming to someone this is it, and it is going to sting. Personally I think this is going to end up either being Billy's baby or Brad's. I think Brad is the best option. One would also think that all this talk of second chances that he had lately would make him want to reach out to Kyle and Keemo, what's up with reconnecting with your past and mending broken fences Jack?

Whoever the father is, I can say that this is going to be one fortunate child. It isn't even born and has every man in Genoa City ready to step up and claim the role as father.

Yet and still, my Y&R gut tells me that all of this is smooth sailing in comparison to what is going to happen once Mary Jane finds out that Sharon and Jack have reconciled. Not to mention that Sharon could be carrying Jack's Love child. Walk with me, what if Mary Jane is in fact Patty Williams and obviously off her rocker. What will she do to Sharon if she feels that Sharon has stolen the life that should have been hers, with the man she loved enough to shoot and is carrying the child she lost because of Jack? Now add to that Jack was partially responsible for her then miscarriage and is currently ready to move Heaven and Earth to support Sharon during this pregnancy. I don't know if I were the writers for Y&R I could resist tying all of this into the story line. It's just too good. They would blame Phyllis for everything going wrong, only for Paul to figure out that his sister was responsible. Classic!

Is she truly dedicated to her relationship with Jack?

The Young and The Restless 5/22/2009 Feedback and Snipet: Billy, Mac, Sharon, Chloe, Jack, Also the return of Raul Gutierrez!

WHAT A FRIDAY!
I literally had to write down notes to keep up with all the hints that were dropped in this episode. So let us begin!

The Honeymooners: I can make this one quick and easy. Two things, Lily's hair cracked me up, the way it got progressively messier as the episode went along. The other thing is pretty significant, that was, did anyone notice the fact that Cane clearly avoided her suggestion of going to Australia? Is it even possible that he isn't even from Australia at all, that it is all a hoax? Funny part about that was it got me to thinking, what proof did they give us that he was indeed from Australia? The only thing was a box of childhood artifact from his "Uncle". Now was that before or after the second DNA testing? In other words, could that package have contained Phillip III DNA samples?

Blood, Mud and Nina: So I have been saying for a while now that Nina is an accomplice to whatever trickery is going on and I haven't received a lot of feedback on that theory. However after today's episode, can I get a "Sho' you right"? Come on at least one. Nina is clearly up to something mischievous and it all revolves around Cane, her son and Phillip III. "Secrets have a way of slipping out" as stated by the former trouble maker herself. For some reason it seems like she has her sights set on Katherine and not Jill, but why? When Phillip III(Langley)and his son return, what will this do to the Chancellor family bonds? In other words, will blood actually be thicker than mud? Mrs.C needs to be happy she put Amber on assignment, that might be her only safe guard!


The Three Amigos: Alas, Raul Gutierrez has returned. In case you need a refresher, I have Throwback Episodes already posted. Take a look at what happened between Mac, Billy and Raul the first go round. Let's just say this isn't he first time Billy was crushed by seeing them kiss. Poor thing,not! He deserved a taste of his own medicine for being so flagrant with his feelings for Mac in front of Chloe. Who, in my opinion deserves a free "that's what you get" card for Billy's overall reaction. She should have given it to him right then and there. What will happen next? Will they end up married or will Billy interfere? Another marriage, right now? Nah, too quick!

Three Men and a Baby: Ok this is getting really good. Sharon, oh Sharon, you will soon realize that for once Jack was right, a little too late! By then all the cards will be on the table. She gave this whole touching yet manipulative speech about how people have the right to know the truth. By people she meant everyone but Jack. However as my Grandma always says, "the mess comes out in the wash!" Sharon your wash is full of stinky stuff. Truthfully, I don't its fair that you should suffer alone. It is my belief that Nick, for his arrogance alone, has something coming to him as well. Seriously, the audacity to show up at Jack's home as if he had some sort of entitlement to Sharon. Keep in mind he does suffer from LOCW (Love Of Crazy Women)so these things are to be expected. In my show the three men would have met up in the free health clinic only to find out they were all carrying a piece of Sharon with them. Billy you're not exempt, you are going down for this one too. Again, Sharon I can't keep warning you about crossing Phyllis with this "Will you feel bad for me also" routine if you keep ignoring me as soon as I say it. Guess you will have to find out on your own.
